The story begins in 1970 with the opening of the first hotel in Corsica, designed and built by Edouard Cardi, then aged 20.
Edouard and Marie-Ange leave Corsica for the Côte d'Azur where they take over a 4-star hotel in Cap d'Antibes.
After taking over a second 4-star establishment in Beaulieu-sur-Mer in 2001, Marie-Ange and Edouard returned to Corsica in 2005 with plans to open a hotel in Porto Vecchio.
The construction of the Don Cesar Hotel began in 2008, and it will open in June 2012. The hotel was designed and built entirely by Edouard, from the plan to the design of each piece of furniture. Marie-Ange is responsible for the launch of the hotel and its operation.
